Community learning, care, and nature connection

CREATE.CONNECT.GROW

KuCoNa brings people together through three public hubs: Community Care, Learning Hub, and Nature Connect.

Our name

Kurland, Covie, and Nature’s Valley.

KuCoNa takes its name from Kurland, Covie, and Nature’s Valley — three neighbouring communities connected by a shared landscape, a shared future, and a commitment to creating opportunities for learning, wellbeing, and caring for the natural environment we all call home.

Who we are

Human wellbeing and environmental wellbeing are deeply connected.

Through skills development, lifelong learning, community care, mentorship, and meaningful experiences in nature, we create opportunities for people and the natural world to thrive together.

Based in Kurland Village, with a satellite centre in the Covie community, KuCoNa serves neighbouring communities surrounded by indigenous forests, rivers, mountains, and coastline — one of South Africa’s most remarkable natural landscapes.

KuCoNa is part of the NVT Behavioural Change Programme 2024–2028 and launched in December 2025.
